On May 30, 2025, Anna Advisors CEO Anna Araki attended an exclusive investment event hosted by a Singapore-authority-approved fund at the Bulgari Hotel Tokyo. At this occasion, she had the honour of being introduced to His Excellency Sok Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Deputy Prime Minister extended a direct invitation: "We would like to support companies like yours that assist investment into Cambodia. Could you please share with the attendees the real situation and attractiveness of the local environment?" Anna was given the floor to address the gathering on Cambodia's investment landscape — a recognition of Anna Advisors' standing as a trusted bridge between Japanese capital and Cambodian real estate.
During the dinner that followed, Anna was seated directly opposite the Deputy Prime Minister — an opportunity for candid, in-depth conversation. Though the time was limited, the exchange provided meaningful insight into the direction of Cambodia's economic development and the government's genuine commitment to attracting quality foreign investment.
In his remarks, the Deputy Prime Minister was clear: "In promoting Cambodia's private sector, 'investment' rather than 'support' is the top priority. I am confident that the business missions outlined in the Co-Creation Package will play an important role."
The same day, Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and Prime Minister Hun Manet held a bilateral summit, at which the Japan–Cambodia Co-Creation Economic Package was formally announced. The package commits both nations to deepening cooperation across a broad range of fields, with particular emphasis on improving the business environment for Japanese companies operating in Cambodia.

Government-level commitment of this kind is not symbolic. When a Deputy Prime Minister personally engages with private sector advisory firms and calls for greater investment — not aid — it signals a maturing investment environment with genuine institutional support. For Japanese investors evaluating Cambodia's real estate market, this bilateral framework provides an additional layer of confidence.
Cambodia's dollarised economy, transparent strata-title ownership framework, and rental yields of 6–9% have long made it one of Southeast Asia's most accessible markets for overseas buyers. The strengthening of Japan–Cambodia diplomatic and economic ties adds a further dimension to an already compelling case.
Revitalising a local economy through investment and connecting it to sustainable growth — this goes beyond ordinary corporate activity. It is, at its core, the kind of co-creation that connects nation to nation and people to people. At Anna Advisors, we are committed to taking sincere, steady steps forward in everything within our capacity.
Whether you are new to overseas real estate, looking to diversify assets beyond Japanese yen, or simply want to understand what Cambodia currently offers — our bilingual team is ready to have a straightforward conversation with you. There is no obligation, and no pressure.
